The next version of Windows Live Wave 3 suite of products is now available for download on download.live.com.
This includes Windows Live Movie Maker, Windows Live Writer, Windows Live Mail, Outlook-Hotmail connector among other programs.
Here’s a list of new / updated features introduced in Windows Live Wave 3:Windows Live Movie Maker beta, a *new* service for Windows Live offers:- Ability to share photos and movies online – This beta allows people to turn photos and video memories into great-looking movies and slideshows that can be shared with family and friends on the Internet, on CD/DVD, TV, cell phone or portable device.
Windows Live Writer beta now offers:- Enhanced photo editing experiences including video and image publishing enhancements, editing enhancements and UI improvements.
- The ability to publish videos directly from the PC to Soapbox on MSN Video and YouTube makes it easier to publish photos and videos to a blog – this should make screencasters happy.
Windows Live Mail beta now offers:- Calendar and synch features - New calendar features and the ability to synchronize with Windows Live Calendar beta on the web.
Windows Live Messenger beta now offers:- Easier ways to chat and keep up with your network: Mark specific contacts as favorites and see updates from your network through the “What’s New” feed.
- Group conversations – Communicate and share with up to 20 people by creating private groups in Messenger, determine who is available though presence awareness (group and individual), add a group to your own Messenger contact list and initiate group conversations easily.
- New ways to personalize your experience – Change how your contacts see you through scenes, animated display pictures and signature sounds.
- Rich photo sharing - Share photos easily while chatting with a friend through simple drag-and-drop to show, view and comment on photos in real-time.
Windows Live Photo Gallery beta now offers:- Face detection & people tagging – Organize photos quickly and simply with new technology that automatically detects faces (like Picasa 3) and allows people to tag their contacts.
Windows Live Family Safety now offers:- Easier ways to get started – An improved and simplified sign up process makes it easier to configure the service and manage your kids’ activity online
- Improved service performance – The upgraded application and website are faster than previous versions.
Windows Live Wave 3 Beta programs are available in Chinese (Simplified & Traditional), Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Portuguese-Brazil, Spanish and Swedish. Windows Live Family Safety will not support Chile or Argentina.
